To be eligible for the CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Recruitment 2023, candidates must possess a pass in SSLC, and a three-year Diploma in Engineering in either Mechanical or Electrical discipline from a State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST and PwBD candidates.

The upper age limit for applying to the Ship Draftsman Trainee position is 25 years as of 19 April 2023. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates by 3 years, and PwBD candidates by 10 years (15 years for SC/ST PwBD and 13 years for OBC-NCL PwBD).
