Salary / Pay Scale for LIC AAO
Basic pay for LIC AAO is ₹ 53600/- per month in the scale of ₹ 53600- 2645(14) –90630– 2865(4) –102090 and other admissible allowances as per rules.
Total emoluments for LIC AAO at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately ₹ 92870/- per month in ‘A’ Class city.
Other benefits for LIC AAO are Defined Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement of cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc. as per rules.

Educational Qualification / Eligibility Criteria for LIC AAO 2023
Candidates possessing Bachelor’s Degree in Any Discipline can apply online for LIC AAO Posts.
Age Limit For LIC AAO
For LIC AAO Recruitment 2023, Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed) as on 01.01.2023 and Maximum age shall not be more than 30 years which means candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1993 and not later than 01.01.2002 (both days inclusive).
Relaxations in upper age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/Other Backward Community(OBC)/ Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) /Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCO) /Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) /Confirmed LIC employees/ shall be as under :
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD (Gen): 10 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
- PwBD(OBC): 13 Years
- ECO/SSCO (GEN): 5 Years
- ECO/SSCO (SC/ST): 10 Years
- ECO/SSCO (OBC): 8 Years
- Confirmed LIC employees: Further Relaxation of 5 Years.
Selection Process for AAO in Life Insurance Corporation (LIC)
Selection of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) in Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) will be done through a three tiered process and subsequent Pre-recruitment Medical examination.
- Phase-I – Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of objective test will be conducted online. The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows
- Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions of 35 Marks in 20 Minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions of 35 Marks in 20 Minutes
- English Language with special emphasis on grammar, vocabulary and comprehension: 30 Questions of 30 Marks in 20 Minutes
- Phase-II – Main Examination: Main examination will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive test for 25 marks. Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
- Phase-III – Interview: Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for short listing for interview.
Marks obtained in Main examination plus marks obtained in interview will be considered for final merit listing.

Candidates for LIC AAO Recruitment 2023 will have to make the payment of Application Fees/Intimation Charges through the On-Line Mode as under:
- For SC/ST/ PwBD candidates: Intimation Charges of Rs. 85/- +Transaction Charges + GST
- For all other candidates: Application Fee-cum-Intimation Charges of Rs. 700/- + Transaction Charges + GST
