The Hon’ble High Court of Madras has published a notification for recruitment to the post of Personal Assistants and Personal Clerks for the recruitment year 2021. Total vacancies notified in the recruitment advertisement are 77. Selected candidates will be posted either in Chennai or in Madurai. Bachelor’s  Degree holder candidates in any discipline i.e. B.A. / B.Sc / B.Com / B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / BBA Or Equivalent Academic Degree who possess the required skills and fulfilling the other eligibility criteria as mentioned below can apply online for this recruitment.

Total Vacancy & Pay Scale: Post wise vacancy details and pay scale details are given below – 

Job Type: Permanent.

Job Location: The selected candidates will be posted either at the principal seat of High Court, Madras at Chennai or at the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree holder in any discipline i.e. B.A. / B.Sc / B.Com / B.Com / B.E. / B.Tech or Equivalent Academic Degree Holder Can Apply 

Skills Required: Post wise required skill details are as under –

  • Personal Assistant to the Hon’ble Judges: Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand and Typewriting in English – Higher/Senior Grade. (i.e. 120 words per minute in respect of Shorthand English and 45 words per minute in respect of Typewriting English)
  • Other Two Posts: Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand and Typewriting in English and Tamil – Higher/Senior Grade (i.e. 120 words per minute in respect of Shorthand English; 90 words per minute in respect of Shorthand Tamil and 45 words per minute in respect of Typewriting English and Tamil).

Experience (If Any): Freshers are eligible.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years which is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per Government Rules. 

Selection Process: Through Written Exam and Interview.

Application Fees: Rs.1000/- for each post (Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Differently Abled Persons and Destitute Widows of all castes are exempted).
