National Informatics Centre (NIC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for NIC Scientific / Technical Assistant Recruitment 2023. As per the latest notification released on 4th March 2023, there are 330 vacancies to be filled. The application process has started on the same day and the last date to apply is 4th April 2023.
The pay scale for the post of Scientific/Technical Assistant is 7th Pay Matrix Level 06 (₹ 35,400/- to ₹ 1,12,400/-) which is equivalent to the old pay band of ₹ 9300-34800/- and Grade Pay ₹ 4200/-. The person selected may be posted anywhere in India or outside India in the interest of the Organization.

Salary / Pay Scale for NIC Scientific / Technical Assistant
The pay scale for the post of Scientific/Technical Assistant is 7th Pay Matrix Level 06 (₹ 35,400/- to ₹ 1,12,400/-) which is equivalent to the old pay band of ₹ 9300-34800/- and Grade Pay ₹ 4200/-. Apart from the basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for various allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance. The gross emoluments at the time of joining will be around ₹ 50,000/- per month.

Educational Qualification / Eligibility Criteria for NIC Scientific / Technical Assistant Recruitment 2023
To be eligible for the post of Scientific/Technical Assistant, candidates must have a pass in M.Sc. / MS / MCA / B.E. / B.Tech in relevant fields. The fields are Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & telecommunications, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology, Informatics. The degree must be from a recognized university or institute.
Age Limit for NIC Scientific / Technical Assistant Recruitment 2023
The upper age limit for the post of Scientific/Technical Assistant in National Informatics Centre (NIC) is 30 years. However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories can avail of age relaxation as per the government norms. The age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 5 years, for OBC candidates is 3 years, and for PWD candidates is 10 years.
Selection Process for Scientific / Technical Assistant Recruitment in NIC
The selection process for the NIC Scientific Assistant/Technical Assistant Recruitment 2023 involves a written examination. The examination will consist of multiple-choice questions and will be conducted in various centers across India.
