APSC Tourism Development Officer Recruitment 2024: Elevate Assam’s Travel Sector

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has launched the APSC Tourism Development Officer Recruitment 2024, targeting creative and dynamic professionals for the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Assam. This recruitment seeks to appoint 12 Tourism Development Officers to catalyze the growth of Assam’s tourism sector. Candidates should be university graduates in any stream with a 6-month computer knowledge certificate, or specifically in Hospitality, Hotel, Travel, and Tourism Management or Administration, along with computer proficiency.

Additional weightage is given to applicants with knowledge of a foreign language other than English or a language from the Indian subcontinent, and those with working experience in travel, tourism, or hotel management administration. The age limit is set at 21-38 years, with relaxations available as per Assam Government rules. The selection will be through a written exam and/or interview, designed to evaluate the innovation and strategic abilities of candidates. With application fees set at ₹297.20 for UR, ₹197.20 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC, and ₹47.20 for BPL/PwBD, this opens the doors for a diverse range of candidates to bring fresh perspectives to Assam’s tourism development.
