The North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) has published the NEEPCO Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2023 notification for engagement of fresh candidates as Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. The period of Apprenticeship training will be one year. This is a very good opportunity for the candidates belonging to North East India, who have recently completed their Diploma in Engineering in relevant disciplines, to start their career with a Schedule –‘A’ “Mini Ratna” Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.

Educational Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria for NEEPCO Diploma Apprentice
A candidate must possess following essential qualification specified by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) for being eligible for the post of Technician (Diploma) Apprentice:-
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology Granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
OR
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology by a University.
OR
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
OR
- A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a diploma mentioned above.
Age Limit for Diploma Apprentice posts by NEEPCO
The Age limits (as on 01.01.2023) notified by NEEPCO for Technician (Diploma) Apprentice trainees are as follows:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Relaxation in upper age limit for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD & Ex-Servicemen categories will be applicable as per Government of India rules.
Selection Process for Diploma Apprentices in NEEPCO
Selection of the candidates for Technician (Diploma) Apprentice posts in NEEPCO shall be based on merit as per marks secured by them in Diploma course.

How To Apply for NEEPCO Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2023
Step by Step process of application in North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) for Technician (Diploma) Apprentice posts is given below –
- Step-1: First of all, the candidates are required to enroll/ register themselves with Board of Practical Training (BOPT), through online enrolment from National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal and possess a valid enrolment ID generated after successful enrolment. Registration link is provided at the end of this notification.
- Step-2: The Candidates are advised to apply online and select any one NEEPCO establishment of their choice.
- Step-3: After submitting the online application, the applicant should download the NEEPCO Apprenticeship Application Form from the link given below & take a print-out of the same. Then, they will have to send the duly filled form along with self-attested scan copies in PDF format of the following relevant documents i.e. Pass Certificate, Marksheet, Age Proof (HSLC Certificate or Birth Certificate), Caste / PwD Certificate via email to the below mentioned Id.
- Step-4: Hard copies of the filled Application form along with documents/ testimonials is also to be sent by POST. The envelope should be superscribed with Advertisement Number, Post applied for in Block Letters & should be sent by ORDINARY POST only to the address given below and should reach within the specified deadline.
