Eligibility Criteria / Educational Qualification for UPSC CAPF

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Those who have appeared in an examination whose results are pending, or those who intend to appear in such a qualifying examination in 2023, are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit for UPSC CAPF AC 2023

Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as of August 1, 2023. Age relaxations are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories, as per government norms.

The upper age limit can be relaxed as mentioned below –

  • Up to five years if a candidate is from a Scheduled Caste or Tribe.
  • Up to three years for applicants from Other Backward Classes who are qualified for reservation.
  • Up to five years for Civilian Central Government Servants, as per Central Government directives. Ex-servicemen will also be eligible. In any case, the total relaxation based on government service is restricted to five years.
