Salary / Pay Scale for WBPSC Veterinary Officer
Candidates selected as Veterinary Officer in Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal will be appointed in the Pay Matrix Level-16 (₹56,100/- – ₹1,44,300/-) as per WBS(ROPA) Rules, 2019.
Besides pay, the posts carry allowances as admissible.

Educational Qualification / Eligibility Criteria for WBPSC Veterinary Officer
Essential Qualifications required for recruitment of Veterinary Officer as notified by WBPSC are as follows-
- A Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B. V. Sc. & A.H.) or Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc.) from a recognized University/ Institute or any other qualification as mentioned in the First and Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 (52 of 1984).
- Registration with a Veterinary Council established under any statute of the State government or the Government of India.
- Knowledge of Bengali or Nepali – both spoken and written.
Age Limit for WBPSC Veterinary Officer
Maximum Age of the Candidate should not be more than 36 years on 01.01.2022, relaxable by 5 years for (i) Specially well-qualified candidates, or (ii) persons already in the service of Government or a statutory body or a recognized Institution.
Selection Process for Veterinary Officer by WBPSC
Selection of the candidates for the post of Veterinary Officer by WBPSC will be done through Interview. However, in the event of number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not conveniently possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualifications/ higher marks/ grade obtained in the essential qualifications or experience in relevant field higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or on the basis of a Screening Test.
Application Fees for WBPSC Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2022
The application fees for WBPSC Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2022 is ₹210/- (Rupees Two Hundred Ten) only.
Candidates may in addition have to bear the following charges:
- For online payment through debit/ credit cards: Convenience fee @ 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of ₹5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on such convenience fee.
- For online payment using net banking facility: Convenience fee of ₹5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on such convenience fee.
- For offline payment through Bank Counter: Service Charge of ₹20/- (Rupees Twenty) only.
S.C./ S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
