Candidates selected as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) Group-A, Gazetted in the Border Security Force (BSF), Government of India will be placed in Pay matrix Level-10 (₹56,100-1,77,500) As per 7th CPC.

Educational Qualification / Eligibility Criteria for BSF Assistant Commandant (Veterinary Surgeon)
A candidate must possess the following Educational/ Professional Qualification to be eligible for the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Assistant Commandant) Group-A in BSF.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Registration in the Veterinary Council of India.
Age Limit for BSF Assistant Commandant (Veterinary Surgeon)
The age of Male and female candidates should be between 23 to 30 years as on 09.01.2023.
The relaxation in maximum age for various categories will be applicable as per rules.
Selection Process in BSF for Assistant Commandant (Veterinary Surgeon)
The Selection Procedure consists of following two phases-
First Phase : In this phase, candidates will have to go through below mentioned steps.
- Documentation
- Physical Standard Test
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Second Phase : In this phase, candidates will have to clear the tests given below.
- Interview
- Medical Examination
Application Fees for BSF Assistant Commandant (Veterinary Surgeon) Recruitment 2022
Candidates are required to pay ₹400/- (Rupees Four hundred only) as Examination Fee for BSF Assistant Commandant (Veterinary Surgeon) Recruitment 2022.
Female candidates of all categories and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribes, BSF serving personnel are exempted from payment of examination fee. However, ₹40/- plus taxes = ₹47.2/- will be charged from every candidate including exempted category as “service charges” by the CSC.
