Salary / Pay Scale for MPPSC Veterinary Assistant Surgeon
Candidates selected as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon / Veterinary Extention Officer in the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh will be placed in the Pay Scale of ₹ 15600 – 39100 + 5400 Grade Pay as per 6th pay commission. The corresponding pay scale will be payable in the 7th pay commission.
Apart from the above, candidates will also get Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as per the orders issued by the State Government from time to time.

Educational Qualification/ Eligibility Criteria for MPPSC Veterinary Assistant Surgeon
Essential Qualifications required for recruitment of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon / Veterinary Extention Officer as notified by MPPSC are as follows-
- Graduate degree in Veterinary Science from any recognized University/ Institution of India established under the rules of law.
- The candidate must also be Registered under the Veterinary Council of the State of Madhya Pradesh established under the rules of law.
Age Limit for Veterinary Assistant Surgeon by MPPSC
The age limits (as on 01.01.2024) specified by MPPSC for Veterinary Assistant Surgeon / Veterinary Extention Officer posts are as follows:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Relaxation in upper age limit for the candidates belonging to various reserved categories will be applicable as per Madhya Pradesh Government norms.
Selection Process for MPPSC Veterinary Assistant Surgeon
Selection of the candidates for the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon / Veterinary Extention Officer shall be done on the basis of merit of marks obtained by them in Written Examination (Objective type OMR based) and Interview.

However, the native candidates of Madhya Pradesh belonging to SC, ST, OBC (NCL) & PWD categories will have to pay ₹ 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) as Application/ Examination Fee.
