Salary / Pay Scale for TNPSC Road Inspector
Candidates selected as Road Inspector in Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will be placed in the Pay Scale of ₹ 19,500 – 71,900/- (Level-8).

Educational Qualification / Eligibility Criteria for TNPSC Road Inspector
For being eligible for the post of Road Inspector by TNPSC, a candidate must possess an I.T.I. Certificate in Civil Draughtsmenship from a Government recognized institute.
Provided that preference shall be given to the persons possessing a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
The educational qualifications prescribed for this post should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the following order of studies viz.
10th + ITI (10+2)
OR
10th + Diploma (10+3)
OR
10th + Diploma + Bachelor’s Degree Course (10+3+3)
OR
10th + HSC + Diploma (10+2+2)
OR
10th + HSC + Bachelor’s Degree Course (10+2+4)
Age Limit for Road Inspector posts by TNPSC
As per the notification given by TNPSC, the Maximum Age limit (as on 01.07.2023) for the post of Road Inspector is 37 years.
However, there is no maximum age limit for the candidates belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute widows of all categories.
Selection Process for TNPSC Road Inspector
Selection of the candidates for the post of Road Inspector will be done on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Examination organised by TNPSC.
