JPSC APP Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

JPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor Salary

Selected candidates will be offered a handsome salary package with benefits as per government regulations.

  • Pay Scale: ₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100 (as per the 7th Pay Commission)
  • Old Pay Band: PB-II, ₹9300 – ₹34800 with a Grade Pay of ₹4800 (as per the 6th Pay Commission)

JPSC APP 2025 Selection Process

The selection of Assistant Public Prosecutors will be conducted through a two-stage competitive examination process:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination (Written Test & Interview)
  3. Document Verification

1. Preliminary Examination

The preliminary exam is a screening test of an objective nature.

  • Paper I: General Studies (100 Marks, 2 Hours)
  • Paper II: Law (200 Marks, 2 Hours)
  • Candidates who qualify in the prelims (approximately 13 times the total number of vacancies) will be eligible for the Main Examination.

2. Main Examination

The main examination consists of a qualifying language paper, several written tests, and a final interview.

(A) Qualifying Paper: Regional Language (100 Marks)

  • This paper is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be added to the final merit list. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for the evaluation of other main papers.

  • The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Main Written Examination (Papers III to VIII) and the Interview.
