    • Maximum Age: 32 years.
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST Candidates: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.
    • Regular Meghalaya Government Employees: No age bar if they entered service within the prescribed age limit.
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs): Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms (up to 10 or 15 years depending on the post group and category).

Selection Process: How MPSC Selects MVIs

The selection process for the Motor Vehicle Inspector post involves two main stages:

  1. Screening Test:
    • This test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
    • The subjects and marks distribution are:

      • General Knowledge & Aptitude: 100 Marks
      • General Awareness on Motor Vehicles: 100 Marks
      • Motor Vehicle Act (1988): 100 Marks
      • Total: 350 Marks

  2. Personal Interview:
