GSSSB AAE Civil Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the GSSSB AAE Civil Recruitment:

Educational Qualification (as of 27/05/2025)

  • Possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained
  • OR possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
    • Important Note: Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering are not eligible to apply. 
  • The department has also recognized certain equivalent diploma qualifications. Please refer to the official notification for the complete list of equivalent qualifications. 
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Candidates who do not possess this certificate at the time of application can still apply but must submit it before appointment. 
  • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. 

Age Limit (as of 27/05/2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years 
  • Maximum Age: 33 years 
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules:
    • General Category Women: 5 years 
    • Reserved Category Men: 5 years 
    • Reserved Category Women: 10 years 
    • Ex-Servicemen: Length of service + 3 years 
  • The maximum age limit after all relaxations shall not exceed 45 years (except for Ex-Servicemen). 
  • Note: As there are no reserved posts for PwD candidates in this particular notification, age relaxation for PwD candidates is not applicable.

GSSSB AAE Civil Salary and Benefits (Pay Scale)

Selected candidates will be appointed with a fixed monthly salary for the first five years. 

  • Fixed Pay (First 5 years): ₹49,600 per month. 
  • Regular Pay Scale (After 5 years, upon satisfactory service): ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600 (Pay Level-7) 
  • Other allowances and perks will be applicable as per government rules after regularization.

GSSSB AAE Civil Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the GSSSB Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil) will involve the following stages:

  1. Competitive Written Examination (CBRT/OMR Based): This will be an objective MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type exam. The exam will consist of two parts:
    • Part A (60 Marks, 60 Questions):
      • Reasoning and Data Interpretation: 30 Marks 
      • Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Marks 
    • Part B (150 Marks, 150 Questions):
      • Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension: 30 Marks 
      • Questions related to the relevant subject (Civil Engineering) and its application: 120 Marks 
    • Total Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) for both Part A and Part B combined. 
    • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. 
    • Qualifying Standard: A minimum qualifying standard of 40% will be applicable separately for Part A and Part B for all categories. 
  2. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the written examination (approximately twice the number of vacancies) will be called for document verification. 
  3. Final Merit List: The final selection and waiting list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the competitive written examination, subject to successful document verification. 

How to Apply Online for GSSSB AAE Civil Recruitment 2025

Candidates are required to apply online through the OJAS (Online Job Application System) Gujarat website. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official OJAS website.
  2. Go to “Online Application” and click on “Apply.” Select “GSSSB” from the options. 
  3. Find the advertisement for “Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-3 (Advertisement No. 303/202526)” and click on “Apply.” 
  4. Read the detailed advertisement by clicking “More Details.” 
  5. Click on “Apply Now.” If you have a registration number, you can use it, or click “Skip” to proceed to the application form. 
  6. Fill in your “Personal Details” accurately. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory. 
  7. After filling in personal details, provide your “Educational Details.” 
  8. Accept the “Assurance” (undertaking) by selecting “Yes” and click “Save.” Your application number will be generated; save it for future reference. 
  9. Upload your photograph (5 cm height x 3.6 cm width) and signature (2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width) in JPG format (max 15 KB each). The photograph should have a white background and include the date it was taken (not older than one year from the application’s last date). 
  10. Confirm your application by going to “Confirm Application” under the Online Application tab. Enter your application number and birth date. Review your details carefully. No changes can be made after confirmation. 
  11. After confirming, a “Confirmation Number” will be generated. Save this number. 
  12. Print your application form by clicking “Print Application,” selecting the job, and entering your confirmation number and birth date. Keep a copy of the application form for the entire recruitment process. 
  13. Proceed to pay the application fee online. 

If a candidate submits multiple applications for the same post, the last confirmed application will be considered valid, and previous ones will be cancelled.
