  • Junior Overman (Trainee):

    • Option 1: Diploma or Degree in any subject other than Mining Engineering, AND a Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency from DGMS, AND a Valid First Aid Certificate.
    • OR Option 2: Diploma in Mining with Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS, AND a Valid First Aid Certificate.

NLCIL Recruitment 2025: Selection Process of Junior Overman & Mining Sirdar

The selection methodology involves the following stages:

  1. Written Test:
    • The test will be for 100 marks, comprising objective-type multiple-choice questions.
    • Part I (30 Marks): General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness – Diploma level).
    • Part II (70 Marks): Subject Knowledge.
    • Duration: 120 minutes.
    • Language: English only.
    • Marking: Equal marks for each question, no negative marking.
    • Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 40% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL (against reserved posts).
  2. Bonus Marks for PAPs: Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of NLCIL Neyveli Projects (meeting specific criteria and submitting required documents) will get 20 bonus marks added to their written test score.
  3. Merit List: Final selection will be based on the merit order determined by the total score in the written test (plus bonus marks for eligible PAPs), following reservation rules.
