HAL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2025

Before you apply, it is crucial to ensure you meet all the eligibility requirements laid out by HAL.

Educational Qualification

  • Engineering Graduate Apprentice: Must possess a full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering branch from a recognized university.
  • Diploma (Technician) Apprentice: Must have a 3-year Diploma in the respective branch from a State Board of Technical Education & AICTE approved institution. For DMLT, a Govt. approved Diploma of minimum 1-year duration is required.
  • Non-Technical Graduate Apprentice: A 3/4-year degree (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, etc.) in the specified discipline from a recognized university.
  • ITI Trade Apprentice: Must have passed the respective ITI trade (1 or 2-year duration) from an NCVT or SCVT recognized institute.

Passing Year (For Graduate/Diploma/Non-Technical Graduates)

  • Candidates must have passed their qualifying Degree/Diploma examination in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
  • Candidates with “Appearing” or “Result Awaited” status are not eligible.

General Eligibility

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have previously undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible.

HAL Apprentice Selection Process 2025

The selection process is straightforward and purely merit-based. There is no written exam or interview, ensuring a transparent selection based on academic performance.

  • Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in their qualifying examinations.
    • For Graduate/Diploma/Non-Technical Graduates: The merit list will be prepared based on the final percentage of marks in the respective Degree/Diploma.
    • For ITI Apprentices: The merit score will be calculated by giving 70% weightage to SSC (10th Class) marks and 30% weightage to ITI marks (all semesters combined).
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a physical document verification process at HAL, Nasik. It is mandatory to produce all original certificates and documents at this stage.
  • Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the merit list and successful completion of the document verification process.

  • After obtaining your NATS/NAPS registration number, you must fill out the official Google Form provided by HAL.
