Eligibility Criteria for GSECL Recruitment 2025

Candidates must meet the following qualification, age, and experience criteria as of the advertisement date (16/04/2025).

Educational Qualification

Lab Tester: Full time /Regular B.Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% in the last year/two semesters from a recognized University.
Vidyut Sahayak (JE – Environment): Full time B.E./B.Tech. (Environment) in regular mode from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE approved) with minimum 55% in 7th & 8th semester without ATKT.
Vidyut Sahayak (JE – Metallurgy): Full time B.E./B.Tech. (Metallurgy) in regular mode from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE approved) with minimum 55% in 7th & 8th semester without ATKT.
Assistant Medical Officer / Lady Doctor: MBBS from a recognized university. An Industrial Physician Course is preferred. (MD-Medicine candidates may be considered for Medical Officer post with a different pay scale).
Accounts Officer: CA / ICWA with minimum 55%.
Nurse: Regular B.Sc. (Nursing) – 4 years duration with 55% and above in the last year/last two Semesters from a recognized University/College by the Indian Nursing Council. Registration with Gujarat Nursing Council is mandatory.

Salary and Benefits in GSECL

Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer – Environment & Metallurgy):
- 1st Year: Rs. 48,100/- fixed per month.
- 2nd Year: Rs. 50,700/- fixed per month.
- After 2 years of satisfactory service, may be appointed as Junior Engineer in the pay scale Rs. 45,400 – 1,01,200. No other allowances during the Vidyut Sahayak period except TA/DA reimbursement as per rules.
Lab Tester, Nurse, Radiology-Cum-Pathology Technician:
- Pay Scale: Rs. 25,000 – 55,800 (Revised) plus other allowances as per company rules.
Assistant Medical Officer / Lady Doctor:
- Pay Scale: Rs. 55,600 – 1,10,100 plus allowances.
- (For MD-Medicine candidates appointed as Medical Officer: Rs. 72,100 – 1,19,400).
Accounts Officer:

GSECL Selection Process 2025

Final Selection

JE, Lab Tester, Nurse, Technician: Based purely on merit in the Tier-2 examination, subject to reservation rules, document verification, and medical exam.
Accounts Officer, Asst. Medical Officer: Based on merit (combination of marks from Tier-2 exam and Personal Interview), subject to reservation rules, document verification, and medical exam.
Tie-Breaking: If marks are equal, older candidates are prioritized. If DOB is also the same, alphabetical seniority of name is used.
Widow Candidates: 5% grace marks (of marks secured in the online exam) added, provided they haven’t remarried.
Selection List Validity: One year from the date of result publication.
