Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CISF Head Constable (Sports Quota) Recruitment 2025, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th standard from a recognized educational institution. They should also have the credit of representing State/National/International level in games, sports, and athletics. Educational certificates from boards other than State/Central Board should be accompanied by a Government of India notification declaring the qualification equivalent to 12th class pass for service under the Central Government.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 23 years of age as of August 1, 2025. This means candidates should not have been born earlier than August 2, 2002, and not later than August 1, 2007.
- Age Relaxation:
- Scheduled Caste/Tribe (SC/ST): Up to 5 years in the upper age limit.
- Other Backward Class (OBC): Up to 3 years in the upper age limit.
- Departmental candidates (Central Government) with at least 3 years of continuous service: Maximum age limit is 45 years for SC/ST and 40 years for General/EWS/OBC.

- Should have represented the country as a member of a Senior/Junior International tournament. OR
- Should have represented a State or equivalent unit in National Games/National Championship (Senior/Junior level). OR

- Team Event:
- Should have represented the country as a member of a Senior/Junior International tournament. OR
- Should have represented a State team or equivalent unit in National Games/Championship (Senior/Junior level). OR
- Member of a medal-winning team in the All India Inter-University Championship. OR
- Gold Medal in National School Games/Championship. (The person should have been a playing member of the team).
- Note: Only sportspersons who have participated in relevant games/championships between January 1, 2023, and June 6, 2025, are eligible.

- Chest (UR, SC, EWS, OBC except specified categories): 81-86 Cms (minimum expansion of 5 Cms)

- Chest: No minimum requirement.
- Relaxations in physical standards are applicable as per government norms for candidates hailing from hill areas and Scheduled Tribes.
- Male Candidates:
- Medical Standards: Candidates must meet the medical standards as prescribed in the Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and ARs. They should not have knock knee, flat foot, bow legs, squint eyes, etc., and should be in good mental health. Specific criteria for tattoos are also applicable.

Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) plus usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees from time to time. Appointed candidates will be governed by the CISF Act and Rules and Central Civil Services Rules. They will be entitled to pensionary benefits under the “Defined Contributory Pension system known as the National Pension System” applicable to employees joining Central Government service on or after January 1, 2004. The posts are combatised and initially temporary but likely to become permanent.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:

- Trial Test (Qualifying, 20 marks, minimum 10 marks to qualify)
- Proficiency Test (40 marks, minimum 20 marks to qualify)

The final merit list will be drawn based on marks secured in the Proficiency Test and marks awarded for meritorious sports certificates/achievements, subject to qualifying all other stages.

- One-Time Registration:
- Visit the official CISF recruitment website.
- Click on the “Login” button and then “New Registration”.
- Fill in basic details, additional and contact details, and complete the declaration. Ensure all details, especially name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth, match matriculation certificates.
- A Registration ID and Password will be sent to your registered email and mobile number.
- Filling Online Application Form:
- Log in using your Registration ID and Password.
- Click on “HEAD CONSTABLE (GENERAL DUTY) AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA-2025”.
- Fill in the required details in the application form.
- Upload a recent scanned color passport-size photograph (not more than 3 months old from the notification date, with the date clearly printed on it, JPEG format, 20-50 KB).
- Upload a scanned signature (JPEG format, 10-20 KB).
- Upload scanned copies of supporting documents for age and educational qualification (12th pass certificate or equivalent) in PDF format (not more than 1 MB).
