Beyond the basic pay, you will be entitled to a host of allowances that significantly boost your in-hand salary. These include:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA): Updated biannually to offset inflation.
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): Varies based on the city of posting.

Selection Process: The Path to Becoming a Railway Employee

The selection process is designed to rigorously assess your sporting talent and suitability for the role. It involves multiple stages:

  3. Trial Assessment (40 Marks): A Trial Committee will assess your performance based on game skills, physical fitness, and coach observations. You must score at least 25 out of 40 marks to be declared ‘FIT’. Candidates deemed ‘NOT FIT’ will be eliminated.
  4. Assessment of Achievements & Education (60 Marks): Only ‘FIT’ candidates will proceed to this stage. A Recruitment Committee will award marks based on:
    • Recognized Sports Achievements: Up to 50 marks
    • Educational Qualification: Up to 10 marks
