Eligibility Criteria for Various Posts Notified Through RRI Recruitment 2025
Candidates must meet the specified eligibility criteria regarding education, experience, and age limit for each post. The cut-off date for determining eligibility, including age and OBC creamy layer status, is the closing date for online application submission (May 14, 2025).
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Engineer A (Electronics):
- Engineer A (Photonics):
- First-class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Photonics or equivalent) OR First-class M.Sc. degree in Photonics (or equivalent).
- Engineering Assistant C (Civil):
- Assistant:
- Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university AND Minimum 3 years’ experience in a central government organization/PSU/Autonomous body in General Administration/Purchase/Accounts related matters.
- Assistant Canteen Manager:
- Essential: Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with at least 5 years’ experience in hotels/hostels of Educational Institutes/Guest Houses of Public Sector Undertakings/Government Organizations, etc..
Age Limit (as on the last date of application):
- Engineer A (Electronics): 35 years
- Engineer A (Photonics): 35 years
- Engineering Assistant C (Civil): 28 years
- Assistant: 28 years
- Assistant Canteen Manager: 30 years
Note: Age relaxation is applicable for SC/OBC candidates for reserved vacancies as per rules.

Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed on a regular basis with pay scales corresponding to the Pay Levels mentioned in the vacancy table, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
- Engineer A (Electronics/Photonics): Pay Level 10
- Assistant Canteen Manager: Pay Level 6
- Engineering Assistant C (Civil): Pay Level 5
- Assistant: Pay Level 4
Appointments are regular with a probation period of 2 years. Employees appointed on or after January 1, 2004, will be covered under the New Pension Scheme (NPS). Service conditions are governed by CCS (Conduct) Rules and CCS (CCA) Rules.
Selection Process of Various Posts Notified Through RRI Recruitment 2025
The selection methodology varies based on the post level:
- For Posts in Level 10 and above (Engineer A): Objective Test / Subjective Test / Interview.
- For all other posts (Engineering Assistant C, Assistant, Assistant Canteen Manager): Objective Test / Subjective Test / Skill Test.
Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for the written test. Call letters for tests will be sent via email only. Candidates will attend tests at their own cost.

Eligible and interested candidates must apply online through the RRI recruitment portal only.
Steps to Apply:

- Navigate to the ‘Other Openings’ or relevant recruitment section.
- Find the advertisement (Advt. No. 07/2025) and read the notification carefully.
- Click on the online application link.
- Register and fill out the online application form with accurate details. Ensure the Date of Birth matches your Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate.
- Upload Mandatory Documents: Scan and upload clear copies of Marks Cards & Certificates (from Class 10th onwards), Caste Certificate (if applicable), Experience Certificates, etc. Applications without these attachments will be rejected.
- NOC for Employed Candidates: Candidates currently working in Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer. If NOC is not immediately available, upload a signed undertaking stating it will be submitted during certificate verification.
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
- Submit the application form.
- Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

- UR/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹ 250/- (Non-refundable).
- SC/ST/Women/Divyaang Candidates: No Fee.
