BFUHS Vacancy 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria regarding education, age, and experience by the last date of application submission (June 10, 2025).
General Eligibility:
- Knowledge of Punjabi: Candidates must have passed Punjabi up to Matriculation or its equivalent level at the time of applying.
Age Limit (as of the last date of application):
- The maximum age limit for the posts is 37 years.
- Relaxations in Upper Age Limit:
- Up to 45 years for Punjab Government employees and employees of its Boards/Corporations/Commissions and Authorities, and all State/Central Government employees.
- Up to 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab.
- Up to 47 years for Persons with Disability of Punjab.
- Ex-Servicemen of Punjab Domicile: Period of service in the Armed Forces shall be deducted from actual age. If the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit by more than three years, they are considered eligible.
- For posts of Laboratory Technician Gr.-II, Laboratory Attendant, and Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator, age relaxation will be given to candidates who have worked on a contract basis for the same post in BFUHS, Faridkot & its constituent Colleges/Institutes/Hospitals. This relaxation will be equivalent to the period they worked.
Post-Wise Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Medical Laboratory Technician Gr.II (40 Posts):
- 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board/University/Institution with Science.
- B.Sc. (MLT) from a recognized University/Institution.
- Two years of experience in the relevant field.
- Laboratory Attendant (14 Posts):
- 10+2 or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/Institution/University with Science.
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology on a regular basis from a recognized Board/Institution/University. (Correspondence Diploma Courses will not be considered).
- Two years of experience in the relevant field.
- Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator (30 Posts):
- Graduate from a recognized University.
- Possess at least a one hundred and twenty hours course with hands-on experience in the use of Personal Computer on Information Technology in Office productivity applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a Government recognized Institution or a reputed institution, which is ISO 9001 certified.
- OR Possess a computer Information Technology Course Equivalent to ‘O’ Level Certificate of Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of Government of India.
- Typing Punjabi & English with 30 words per minute. (Punjabi typing test will be conducted in Raavi font).
- Sr. Assistant (04 Posts):
- As per the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules 1994- Para 14 A. This generally requires:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
- Qualification in a competitive test specified by the appointing authority.
- At least one hundred and twenty hours course with hands-on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing applications from a government-recognized institution or a reputed ISO 9001 certified institution OR Possesses a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC.
- Passed a test in English and Punjabi typewriting on computer at a speed of thirty words per minute before appointment.
- As per the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules 1994- Para 14 A. This generally requires:
- Dialysis Technician (02 Posts):
- 10+2 with Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board/University/Institution.
- B.Sc. (Medical) from a recognized University/Institution.
- One Year Diploma in Dialysis Techniques from a recognized Board/Institution/University.
- Two years of experience in the relevant field (Dialysis).
- Dental Mechanic (01 Post):
- Should have passed 10+2 (Medical) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution/Board.
- Should have passed Dental Mechanic Course from an Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India with two years of experience as a Dental Technician in a recognized Institution.
- Dental Technician (02 Posts):
- 10+2 or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board/University/Institution with Science.
- B.Sc. in Dental Mechanics from a recognized University/Institution.

Salary and Benefits for BFUHS Posts
The pay scales and emoluments for all the advertised posts will be as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) and amendments issued by the Government of Punjab from time to time.
BFUHS Selection Process 2025
The selection process for these posts will likely involve the following stages:
- Written Test: Candidates will have to appear for a written examination. To be considered eligible, candidates must score a minimum of 33% marks in this test. Those scoring less than 33% will be declared ineligible.
