Update (28 September 2026): The High Court of Judicature at Bombay has fixed the Physical Fitness and Special Skill Test for the Peon/Hamal/Farash post (advertisement dated 08/12/2025) on Sunday, 4 October 2026. Three separate notices list 8,976 candidates eligible to appear: 5,517 at the Principal Seat (Mumbai), 1,378 at the Nagpur Bench and 2,081 at the Aurangabad Bench. Each candidate has an individual reporting time printed against their name, and the Screening Test admit card is compulsory at the venue. This update covers the Peon/Hamal/Farash post only; no test date has been announced for Clerk, Stenographer or Driver in these notices.

What Rules Can Cost You the Peon Physical Test on 4 October?
Read these before 4 October. Each one comes straight from the notices or the original Peon advertisement.
- No change of centre or time: Any request to change the test centre or reporting time will not be considered or accepted. You must attend at the venue and time allotted to you.
- Conduct at the venue: Improper behaviour by any candidate, alone or in a group, at or around the test centre before, during or after the test will lead to legal action as per the rules.
- Written exam first: The original advertisement states that candidates who fail the written exam are not called to the Physical Fitness and Special Skill Test.
- Eligibility is still provisional: The advertisement says candidates were admitted to the written exam provisionally, on the basis that they meet its conditions. Eligibility is checked before the interview or appointment, and a candidate found ineligible at that point is disqualified for the interview or appointment.
What is the Selection Process for Bombay High Court Peon After the PFT?
The Peon advertisement prescribes three marked stages. The PFT carries 10 marks and is the second of them. The advertisement says the timetable for every stage is published on the High Court’s official website from time to time.
