Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must have passed the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) 2022 or REET 2025 for the corresponding level (Level 1 or Level 2) with the minimum qualifying marks set by the government.

Educational Qualification (Primary Teacher – Level 1)

For General (L1):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).
- OR Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed. (in accordance with NCTE Norms 2002).
- OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- OR Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
For Sanskrit (L1):
- Varishtha Upadhyay (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed.
- OR Varishtha Upadhyay with at least 45% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed. (in accordance with NCTE Norms 2002).
- OR Varishtha Upadhyay with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.
- OR Shastri (or equivalent) and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Educational Qualification (Upper Primary Teacher – Level 2)

For Sanskrit (L2):
- Shastri (or equivalent traditional Sanskrit exam) and a 2-year D.El.Ed.
- OR Shastri with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed.
- OR Shastri with at least 45% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).
- OR Varishtha Upadhyay with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.
- OR Varishtha Upadhyay with 50% marks and a 4-year Shastri-Shiksha Shastri/B.A. Ed.
For Other Subjects (L2 – Hindi, English, Maths-Science, Social Science):
- Graduation and a 2-year D.El.Ed.
- OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).
- OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.
- OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
- OR Post-Graduation with 55% marks and a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
Subject Requirements (L2):
- Social Studies: Must have graduated with at least one optional subject from: History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, Philosophy, Accountancy, EAFM, or Banking & Business Economics.
- Maths-Science: Must have graduated with at least one optional subject from: Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Micro-Biology, Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, or Mathematics.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of 01 January 2026.
Age Relaxation:
- An upper age relaxation is provided as recruitment was not held in previous years. This is 1 year for Elementary Education (L1) posts, and 3 years for Sanskrit Education (L1 & L2) posts.
- 5 years for Male candidates of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories of Rajasthan.
- 5 years for Female candidates of the General category.
- 10 years for Female candidates of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories of Rajasthan.
- There is no upper age limit for Widows and Divorced Women.

Salary and Benefits

Candidates selected for the Primary and Upper Primary Teacher posts will be appointed at Pay Matrix Level-10.

During the probation period of 2 years, all selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration (parishramik) as per the rules of the Rajasthan government. After successfully completing the 2-year probation, candidates will be confirmed in their posts, and their salary will be fixed in the Level-10 pay scale.

This regular salary will include the basic pay along with other allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits applicable to state government employees. All appointees will also be covered under the state’s New Pension Scheme (NPS).

Selection Process Explained

The selection of candidates for all posts will be done through a single competitive written examination.

The examination will be for a total of 300 marks.
There will be one question paper with 150 multiple-choice questions.
The total time duration for the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Negative Marking: Yes, there is negative marking. 1/3rd of the marks for that question will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The exam syllabus includes Rajasthan’s Geographical, Historical, and Cultural Knowledge, Rajasthani Language, General Knowledge of Rajasthan, Educational Scenario, RTE Act, Current Affairs, and knowledge of the concerned school subject, educational psychology, and IT.

Before you start, please keep your Aadhar card, REET 2022/2025 scorecard, educational certificates (10th, 12th, D.El.Ed./B.Ed., Graduation, etc.), a recent photo, and signature ready.

Log in to your SSO ID. If you don’t have one, register for a new ID.
After logging in, go to the “Recruitment Portal”.
