Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the Junior Engineer (Civil) post will be placed in Pay Level-6, with a pay scale of Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400. Other allowances and benefits will be applicable as per the rules governing the service.

JKSSB JE Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the JKSSB Junior Engineer (Civil) posts will consist of the following stages:

  1. Written Examination:
    • The exam will comprise Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) set in English only.
    • There will be negative marking for wrong answers (0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect response).
    • The syllabus is detailed in Annexure-D of the notification and covers topics like Surveying, Mechanics, RCC, Soil Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Irrigation, Water Supply, Highway Engineering, Railway Engineering, and Construction Management.
    • Selection will be based solely on the merit obtained in the written examination. There will be no interview/oral test.
  2. Document Verification (DV):
    • Candidates shortlisted based on their written exam performance will be called for Document Verification.
    • Original documents (Qualification, Age, Domicile, Category certificates, etc.) must be produced during DV. Failure to produce valid documents or appear for DV will lead to cancellation of candidature.
