Eligibility Criteria for GPSC Goa Recruitment 2025

Senior Surgeon (By Transfer on Deputation)
- Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Officers of the Central/State Government Administration holding analogous posts on a regular basis; OR with 5 years of regular service in the scale of Rs.8000-275-13500 (pre-revised).
- A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications in Part II of the Third Schedule must also fulfill conditions in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Act.
- Post-graduate degree, or failing that, a post-graduate diploma in the concerned specialty.
- Work experience in a responsible position connected with the specialty for 3 years after a post-graduation degree or 5 years after a post-graduation Diploma.
Junior Surgeon (By Direct Recruitment)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
- Educational Qualification & Experience:
- A recognized Medical qualification as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Post-graduate degree, or failing that, a post-graduate diploma, in the concerned specialty.
- For Diploma holders: Work experience in a responsible position connected with the specialty for 2 years after the post-graduation Diploma.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Assistant Professor in Commerce
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
- Educational Qualification:
- Good Academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at Master’s Degree level in Commerce from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (A 5% relaxation may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories).
- National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) is compulsory. (Candidates with a Ph.D. Degree in compliance with UGC Regulations, 2009, are exempted).
- Knowledge of Konkani.
- Desirable: Ph.D. or M.Phil. in Commerce; Knowledge of Marathi.
Scientific Assistant cum Photographer
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
- Educational Qualification:
- Degree in Science with at least second class from a recognized University.
- Diploma in Photography or Certificate course in Advanced Photography from a recognized Institution.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
- Desirable: Should be Computer literate; Knowledge of Marathi.
Scientific Officer (DNA)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
- Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s Degree with Second Class in Microbiology/Genetics/Zoology/Biotechnology/Forensic Science, with Zoology as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s Degree level in Science from a recognized University.
- Five Years of Experience in the relevant field in a State/Central Forensic Science Laboratory.
- Knowledge of Computer.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
- Physical Standards: Must be physically fit. Specific distant and near vision standards are required (details in the notification). Candidates with uniocular vision, amblyopia, colour blindness, squint, or any morbid conditions of the eyes/lids, or perforated eardrum will be disqualified.
- Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Science from a recognized University; Knowledge of Marathi.
Marine Engineer and Ship Surveyor
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.
- Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Certificate of competency as 1st Class Engineer (Motor) issued under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
- 3 years experience as 2nd Class Engineer on board foreign-going/home trade ships.
- Certificate of sight test in Form Vision and Colour Vision from a Medical Board.
- Knowledge of Konkani.

District Welfare Officer
