IDBI Bank SCO Eligibility Criteria (as of April 01, 2025)
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria regarding age, educational qualifications, and experience as of the cut-off date, April 01, 2025.
- Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India or meet other specified criteria.
- Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025):
- Manager (Grade B): Min 25 years, Max 35 years
- Assistant General Manager (AGM – Grade C): Min 28 years, Max 40 years
- Deputy General Manager (DGM – Grade D): Min 35 years, Max 45 years
- (Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines).
- Educational Qualification & Experience: (Varies significantly by post. Below are examples, refer to the official notification for details on all posts)
- Audit – IS (AGM): B.Tech/BE (IT/ECE/Software Engg etc.) OR Graduate + CISA OR M.Sc(IT/CS)/MCA etc. Minimum 7 years officer experience in BFSI, with 4 years in IS Audit.
- Finance & Accounts (Manager): CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance). Minimum 4 years officer experience in BFSI, with 2 years in a relevant role.
- Legal (AGM): Graduation in Law. Minimum 7 years experience as a law officer in BFSI/ARC/Govt/Regulatory bodies OR as a practicing advocate with at least 4 years as a law officer in specified entities.
- Risk Management – Credit Risk (Manager): CA/MBA (Banking/Finance)/CFA/FRM/ICWA. Minimum 4 years officer experience in SCBs/Corporates/BFSI, with 2 years preferred in a similar functional area.
- Digital Banking (Manager): BCA/B.Sc(IT)/B.Tech/BE (IT related) AND MBA (Finance/Marketing/IT/Digital Banking). Minimum 4 years experience in Digital Banking/Payments in BFSI/FinTech etc., with 2 years in specific areas like Mobile Banking, UPI, Cards, Digital Lending etc.
- Rajbhasha (DGM): Graduation (Hindi/English core) OR Masters (Hindi/English/Sanskrit) OR Graduation (English core) + Masters (Hindi medium). Minimum 10 years officer experience in BFSI, with 7 years in translation work.
- Corporate Credit/Retail Banking (Manager): Graduation (Any Discipline). Minimum 4 years officer experience in BFSI, with 2 years in Credit Appraisal/Processing/Operations/Relationship Management/Branch Management.
- IT & MIS (Manager – Various Specializations): BE/B.Tech (Relevant Engineering streams) OR MCA. Minimum 4 years officer experience in IT/BFSI/FinTech etc., with 2 years in the specified specialization (e.g., Network Admin, Database Admin, Finacle).
- Important Note: Training, Internship, Apprenticeship, Teaching, Graduate Trainee, or Retainership experience will not be considered. Candidates must possess valid degree certificates from recognized universities.

Salary Structure & Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in different grades with attractive pay scales and benefits. The approximate gross emoluments in metropolitan cities are as follows:
- Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Grade D: ₹1,97,000/- per month (Approx.) (Pay Scale: ₹102300 – ₹120940)
- Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Grade C: ₹1,64,000/- per month (Approx.) (Pay Scale: ₹85920 – ₹105280)
- Manager – Grade B: ₹1,24,000/- per month (Approx.) (Pay Scale: ₹64820 – ₹93960)
In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for allowances, perquisites, and benefits applicable to their respective grades as per IDBI Bank’s rules. This includes DA, HRA, Medical Aid, LTC, etc.
IDBI Bank SCO Selection Process 2025
The selection process for IDBI Specialist Cadre Officers involves the following stages:
- Preliminary Screening: Applications will be initially screened based on the declared eligibility criteria (age, qualification, experience).
- Shortlisting: Based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role, the Bank will shortlist a limited number of candidates.
- Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI). Candidates need to clear this stage to be considered further.
- Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in the GD/PI will undergo document verification.
- Pre-Recruitment Medical Test: Final selection is subject to clearing the pre-recruitment medical test.
