Eligibility Criteria for BEL Project Engineer

- Full-time B.E./B.Tech from a reputed Institute/University in the following disciplines:

Post Qualification Experience (as on 01.04.2025):
- Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience is mandatory.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in IP Networking, Helpdesk Management is desirable. Experience in IT Infrastructure Projects, IP Networking, Data Centre Projects, CCTV Projects, Sensors based IoT Projects, or Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, Product Support services for any IP enabled Electronic/Software products is preferred.
- Experience Not Considered: Teaching, Academic, Research work, experience in banking/financial institutions, non-profit organizations, internships, and work experience gained before completing B.E./B.Tech will not be counted. Only industrial experience is valid. Experience certificates are required.

BEL Project Engineer Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will be engaged as Project Engineer – I on a temporary basis with the following remuneration structure:

2nd Year	₹ 45,000/-
3rd Year	₹ 50,000/-
4th Year	₹ 55,000/-

Additional Benefits:
- Area Allowance: 10% of consolidated remuneration per month for candidates posted to various sites and customer locations.
- Other Allowances: Rs. 12,000/- per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc..
- Retention Bonus: A bonus of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rs. 25,000 per completed year) is payable at the end of the 4-year tenure.
- Insurance: Candidates must be covered under a Medical Insurance scheme (Rs. 2 Lakhs) and Life Cover scheme (Rs. 5 Lakhs) at the time of joining.
Note for Ex-BEL Trainee Engineers: Candidates who have completed 3 years as a Trainee Engineer in BEL and apply for this post will be directly inducted as Project Engineer-II. Their remuneration will be Rs. 45,000/-, Rs. 50,000/-, and Rs. 55,000/- for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year respectively, with the overall tenure limited to 3 years.

Selection Process of Project Engineer by BEL

The selection methodology for the BEL Project Engineer post involves two stages:

Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Written Test. The venue will be Guwahati or Tezpur, Assam. 85% weightage will be given to the written test score.
Interview: Candidates who qualify the Written Test will be shortlisted for an Interview in a 1:5 ratio based on merit. The interview carries 15% weightage.

The final selection list will be published on the BEL website. Call letters for the Written Test/Interview will be sent via email only.
