NHAI Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

Tier 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
This is the first and, for most posts, the only written exam stage. The CBT will be an objective-type (MCQ) test.
- Common Subjects: The test for all posts will include sections on Logical Reasoning/General Mental Ability, Quantitative Abilities, General Knowledge, and General Verbal Ability (English).
- Domain Specific: A major part of the exam (e.g., 80 out of 120 questions for Accountant) will be based on domain-specific knowledge relevant to the post.
- Negative Marking: There is a penalty for wrong answers. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% (UR), 35% (OBC/EWS), and 30% (SC/ST/PwBD) to qualify.
Tier 2: Interview (For Dy. Manager)
- Candidates applying for the Deputy Manager (Finance & Accounts) post will have a two-tier selection.
- Based on CBT scores, candidates will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview in a 1:5 ratio (for each vacancy, 5 candidates will be called).
- The final merit list will be prepared based on combined marks from the CBT (120 marks) and Interview (15 marks).
Tier 2: Skill Test (For Stenographer)
- Candidates applying for the Stenographer post will undergo a two-tier selection.
- After qualifying the CBT, candidates will be called for a Skill Test in Stenography (in a 1:10 ratio).
- Skill Test Details: This involves a dictation of 05 minutes at 80 wpm (English or Hindi) which must be transcribed on a computer.
- This Skill Test is mandatory but only qualifying in nature. The final merit list for Stenographers will be based only on the marks obtained in the Tier-1 CBT.
