Eligibility Criteria for NSPCL Assistant Officer Roles

Educational Qualification:

  • Assistant Officer (Environment Management):
    • Graduate Engineering Degree in Environment with at least 60% marks.
    • OR Graduate with at least 60% marks PLUS a Full-Time PG Degree/PG Diploma/M.Sc./M.Tech. in Environment Engineering/Environment Science/Environment Management with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Assistant Officer (Safety):
    • Full-time Engineering degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Civil / Production/ Chemical / Construction/ Instrumentation from a recognized University / Institute with not less than 60% marks.
    • PLUS a Diploma/ Advance Diploma/ PG Diploma in Industrial Safety from Central Labour Institute / Regional Labour Institute, Govt. of India.

Age Limit (as of 05.05.2025):

  • Assistant Officer (Environment Management): 30 years.
  • Assistant Officer (Safety): 45 years.
  • Relaxations in age for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/XSM/PwBD) will be provided as per Government guidelines.

Salary and Benefits Package for Assistant Officers in NSPCL

Selected candidates appointed as Assistant Officers will be placed in the E0 Grade with the following compensation structure:

  • Pay Scale: ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 
  • Initial Basic Pay: ₹30,000 
  • Other Benefits: Besides the basic pay, candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), other perquisites, allowances, and terminal benefits as per prevailing Company rules.

Selected candidates (General category) must execute a service agreement bond of ₹5,00,000 (₹2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD) to serve NSPCL for at least 4 years.

NSPCL Assistant Officer Selection Process 2025

The selection procedure for the Assistant Officer posts involves multiple stages:

  1. Online Selection Test: All eligible candidates must appear for an All India based Online Selection Test. The test will comprise two parts:
    • Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) 
    • Executive Aptitude Test (EAT) Candidates need to qualify separately in both SKT and EAT. Test centers will be located in Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Raipur, and Bangalore.
  2. Personal Interview: Based on the merit in the online test and post requirements, candidates will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in the interview. NSPCL reserves the right to conduct online screening or raise eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for the interview if necessary.
  3. Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared based on weightage: 85% for the Online Selection Test and 15% for the Personal Interview marks.
  4. Document Verification: Candidates must upload necessary documents during the online application. Verification will occur during the process.
  5. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at an NSPCL notified/empanelled hospital before joining. Candidates must meet the required health standards.
