UPESSC Assistant Professor Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the Assistant Professor (B.Ed.) posts will involve two stages:

  1. Written Examination:
    • This will be an objective-type question paper. 
    • The paper will consist of General Knowledge (60 marks) and the concerned optional subject (B.Ed.) (140 marks). 
    • There will be 30 questions for General Knowledge and 70 questions for the optional subject. 
    • Each question will carry 2 marks. 
    • Total marks for the written exam: 200. 
    • There will be no negative marking in the question paper. 
    • The written examination will be conducted in Prayagraj. 
  2. Interview:
    • Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview. 
    • The interview will carry 30 marks. 
  3. Final Merit List:
    • The final selection list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the written examination (200 marks) and the interview (30 marks), summing up to 230 marks. 
  4. Document Verification: Candidates will need to produce original documents for verification at the time of the interview.

Step-by-Step Application Process:

  1. Registration:
    • Visit the portal and register for the advertisement. 
    • Select the subject. 
    • Fill in details like name, email, category, and mobile number. 
    • Click “Generate OTP”. You will receive a 4-digit OTP. 
    • Enter and verify the OTP. 
    • Create a login password (minimum 6, maximum 30 characters, including one capital letter, one small letter, one special character, and one number). 
  2. Login and Fill Personal Details:
    • Go to the homepage and click on “Registered Candidate Login”. 
    • Enter your registration number and password. 
    • Fill in the required personal details and click “Save & Continue”. 
  3. Address Details:
    • Enter your correspondence and permanent address and click “Save & Continue”. 
  4. Educational Qualifications:
    • Carefully fill in your educational qualifications. No changes will be allowed by the commission after final submission. Click “Save & Continue”. 
  5. Upload Documents (JPG & PDF Format):
    • Recent photograph (bust level, 30-50 KB). 
    • Signature (30-40 KB). 
    • High School certificate (for date of birth proof). 
    • Postgraduate mark sheet of the relevant subject. 
    • NET/SET/JRF/Ph.D. certificate for minimum qualification. 
    • Latest caste certificate for reserved category (female candidates must upload caste certificate issued from father’s side). 
    • Disability certificate (minimum 40% disability, for UP state candidates only). 
    • Dependent of Freedom Fighter certificate (for UP state candidates only). 
    • Answer questions regarding any legal proceedings (FIR), debarment from exams, or disciplinary actions. 
    • Accept the declaration after carefully reviewing all entered information. 
    • Preview the application. If any errors (except name) are found, click “Edit” to make corrections, then click “SUBMIT”. 
    • Note: Once the application is submitted, no changes will be possible. 
  6. Fee Payment:
    • Pay the prescribed examination fee online or via challan. 
    • Challan payments can be made at any Indian Bank branch nationwide. Application form can be downloaded 24 hours after challan payment. 
    • Last date for online fee payment is June 13, 2025, up to 11:59 PM. 
    • Candidates paying online can download their application form immediately after successful payment. 

Important Note for Previous Applicants: Candidates who had previously applied for Assistant Professor B.Ed. under Advertisement No. 51 must re-apply but are exempted from paying the application fee. If a previous applicant does not wish to participate in this examination, they can contact the commission office on a working day to get their fee refunded.
