APSC JE Mechanical Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the APSC JE Mechanical Recruitment 2025:
- Citizenship: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.

- Candidates must possess a 3-year regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a technical institute recognized by AICTE.
- Diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering obtained through distance mode of education will not be accepted.
- Relevant all semester/year mark sheets reflecting the subjects and the final pass certificate must be uploaded.
- Age Limit (as of 01-01-2025):
- Candidates should be between 18 and 40 years of age.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years (up to 45 years).
- OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 43 years).
- Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age of 42 years for Unreserved category, with further relaxation of 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years irrespective of category.
- Age will be calculated based on Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet.
- PwBD Category: Candidates must possess a Benchmark Disability certificate issued by the competent authority.

APSC JE Mechanical Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) post will receive a pay scale of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- (Pay Band – 2), plus other allowances as admissible to Assam State Government employees.
