Salary and Benefits (Stipend)
Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices for a period of one year. This is a training program and not regular employment with the bank. During this period, apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹15,000/-.
It’s important to understand that this is a “stipend” and not a “salary.” This amount is provided to help apprentices cover their monthly expenses during the training. As this is not regular employment, apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits that permanent bank employees receive, such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), or NPS contributions. The primary benefit of this program is the invaluable experience, skill development, and the apprenticeship certificate you receive from a top public sector bank, which can significantly boost your future career in the financial sector.
Selection Process Explained
The selection for the BoB Apprentice engagement will be based on a three-stage process. All stages are mandatory to clear.
Tier 1: Computer Based Test (Online Exam)
- The first stage is an objective-type online examination.
- This test will be remotely proctored, which means you can take the exam from a private location like your home, using a laptop, desktop, or even a smartphone with a working camera and microphone.
- The exam will have a total of 100 questions for 100 marks, with a total duration of 60 minutes.
- A very important point: The notification clearly states there will be NO negative marks for wrong answers.
Here is the detailed exam pattern:

Tier 3: Test of Local Language
- Candidates must be proficient (able to read, write, speak, and understand) in one of the specified local languages of the State/UT they are applying for.
