CSIR-NAL Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
Only candidates who have already completed the degree can attend. Candidates whose results are awaited are not eligible. The qualifications below are the minimum, and having more does not entitle you to a call. If you claim a qualification as equivalent, carry the order or letter naming the authority, with number and date, or the application is liable to be rejected. If you hold an engineering degree, check your discipline against each row.

R&D experience means work in industrial and academic institutions, science and technology organisations, and scientific activities and services. For Project Associate-I on 12 November, 1 to 2 years of aerospace-relevant experience is only desirable.

What Is the Salary for CSIR-NAL Project Staff 2026?
The pay is a fixed monthly amount plus HRA. The notification does not state the HRA rate or any pay level.

NET/GATE pays more. One Project Associate-I post on 16 November pays ₹31,000 with NET/GATE against ₹25,000 without it, and the separate Project Associate-II (NET/GATE) post pays ₹35,000 against ₹28,000 for the regular post. The form asks if you hold a CSIR-UGC NET or GATE score card. If you do, attach it.
Please remember what kind of job this is. It gives no right to continue, or to be absorbed or regularised in CSIR. Either side can end it with one month’s notice, or one month’s stipend instead. Time in one project, or in several CSIR projects together, cannot cross six years. You also get no TA or DA for coming to the interview.

The venue is the RAB Meeting Complex, CSIR-NAL, adjacent to SBI NAL Branch, Kodihalli, Bengaluru – 560017. Carry the filled form, a copy of Aadhaar or another government photo ID, a latest passport-size photograph, original certificates with one set of photocopies, and your caste certificate if you claim a category. The form also asks if you have close relatives in CSIR, if you are under any bond, and if you were ever dismissed from service in any other institution or office, or debarred by the Public Service Commission, so answer honestly. After selection, you must show the original documents and contact the Recruitment Section within 15 days.
