The Board says it is not responsible for any lapse if you miss its website updates, and it will not entertain correspondence about rejected applications, changes after submission or a change of department or post after allotment. Candidates selected on their own merit without relaxed standards are placed against unreserved seats, not reserved ones. At the e-dossier stage you must give at least one department or post preference. A candidate who misses the preference window will not be considered. Once a candidate is allotted the first available preference as per merit, later preferences are not considered, and the preference is final and irreversible. Applying under this notice does not make you eligible for every department listed. Your candidature is accepted only on a provisional basis and can be cancelled if you are found ineligible.
