Everything is counted as on 30 September 2026. The cut-off applies to your degree, your experience and your age.
The engineer posts (A, B and C) need a BE, B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engg.) in Civil, Mechanical, Welding, NDT, Electrical or Instrumentation. The marks rule is 60% for engineering and 55% for non-engineering qualifications.

The same construction experience applies to codes D1 to D3. Keep these points in mind:
- Welding or NDT: you need a B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks and an ASNT or ISNT Level-II certificate in RT, UT, DPT or MPT.
- No marks relaxation: the FAQ says SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates get no relaxation in minimum percentage. A person with 59.99% is not eligible where 60% is required.
- AMIE is not accepted. Only BE, B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engg.) holders can apply for the engineer posts.
- Your qualification must be completed within the minimum course duration. If it took longer, you are not eligible.
