The Indian Army has opened applications for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES-57). There are 90 seats for the course starting on 1 July 2027. These seats are provisional, so the number can go up or down. The notification gives no category-wise or branch-wise split. It also says the 90 seats can increase or decrease with training capacity at the Cadets Training Wings (CTWs) and the organisation’s needs.

If you marry after applying, you will not be selected. If you marry during training, you are discharged and must refund the training expenditure. If a court-case or arrest issue comes up during selection or training, your candidature or cadetship is cancelled.

The notification lists no age relaxation for any category, so check your date of birth against the range before anything else. Only the date of birth on your Matriculation or 10th certificate is accepted, and it cannot be changed later on any ground.

The ad’s highlights table puts the CTC at about ₹17-18 lakh per year at Level 10, excluding free medical cover and a yearly trip to your home town. You also get Dearness Allowance, Risk and Hardship allowances in field areas, and promotions: Captain after 2 years, Major after 6, Lt Colonel after 13 and Colonel (Time Scale) after 26 years of service. In the first three years you receive no stipend. The cost of training is recovered if you withdraw or resign voluntarily. Pay at commissioning is fixed in the first cell of Level 10.

After shortlisting, you log in and pick your SSB centre and date on a first come, first served basis. It cannot be changed later. Those who fail Stage I are sent home the same day. SSB is tentatively planned between February and March 2027. Higher qualifications and NCC carry no weight in the merit list, so your whole rank depends on how you perform in those five days. You fill three CTW choices, all compulsory and with no common choice. Allotment is decided by the Army. CME Pune offers Civil and Mechanical, MCTE Mhow offers Telecom and IT, and MCEME Secunderabad offers Electrical and Mechanical engineering. A maximum of two academic relegations is allowed. The notification mentions no application fee, so please confirm on the portal. Submit only one application, because multiple applications mean cancellation, and incomplete ones are rejected without notice. On joining you must meet minimum physical standards: 2.4 km run in 10 min 30 sec, 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, two sets of 30 squats, two sets of 10 lunges, and basic swimming.
