Educational Qualification
- Works Engineer / Civil: Full-time B.Tech/BE in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE/UGC
- Works Engineer / Electrical: Full-time B.Tech/BE in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE/UGC
- Works Engineer / S&T: Full-time B.Tech/BE in Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks in any of the following specializations: Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Note: If CGPA/OGPA is awarded instead of percentage, candidates with a minimum 6 on a 10-point scale will be treated as having 60%.
Experience Required
- Civil: Minimum 1 year experience in Civil Construction works. Candidates with experience in building works will be given preference.
- Electrical: Minimum 1 year experience in Electrical Construction works
- S&T: Minimum 1 year experience in Electronic Interlocking, Relay Interlocking, Automatic Signaling, Telecom Works, or Kavach systems
Important: Teaching, training, consultancy, and freelancing experience will NOT be counted as relevant experience.

What is the Salary for IRCON Works Engineer 2026?
The pay for Works Engineer posts is a fixed consolidated amount — there are no separate allowances over and above the fixed pay.
- Fixed Consolidated Pay: ₹36,000 per month (all-inclusive)
- Annual Increment: 5% increase on fixed consolidated pay after each completed year of service
- Contract Period: Initially 1 year, extendable based on satisfactory performance
- PF: Minimum PF as per EPF & MP Act 1952, with matching contribution by IRCON

The selection will be through a Written Exam and/or Interview of shortlisted candidates.
Stage 1: Shortlisting

Stage 2: Written Exam / Interview
