The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CPO 2026 notice for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026. PST and PET carry no marks, but they are elimination rounds. Weight must correspond to height for all posts. Height or chest relaxation is given only on a certificate in the Annexure-VIII format from the competent authority of the district where you ordinarily reside. Ex-Servicemen skip the PET but must meet the physical standards. A woman found pregnant may be declared temporarily unfit; her vacancy is kept reserved and she is re-examined six weeks after confinement.

Keep your Matriculation certificate, degree details, category or ESM certificate and a working email and mobile number ready. Aadhaar authentication is advised, because such forms are not rejected for photo or signature defects. Conditions That Can Cost You the SSC CPO 2026 Job

You must belong to the category on the closing date (30 September 2026); the certificate issue date is not the test. OBC claimants must not be in the creamy layer on that date (Annexure-VI format). EWS claimants need an Income & Asset certificate valid for 2026-27, issued on 2025-26 income, in the Annexure-VII format when called for, otherwise the EWS claim shall not be considered
Fraudulent category claim
Candidates are cautioned: fraudulently claiming SC, ST, OBC, EWS, ESM or Departmental status means you will be debarred from SSC examinations
Ex-Servicemen already re-employed
ESM already in a regular Group C or D civil post through ESM reservation are not eligible for ESM reservation or fee concession; they can still claim ESM reservation for subsequent employment if, immediately after joining the civil job, they gave the employer a self-declaration of the date-wise applications made before joining
Non-graduate Ex-Servicemen
Without 15 years of service (or completing it within one year of the closing date) they are not eligible for any post; Matriculate ESM with 15 years qualify only for SI in Delhi Police ESM posts
Serving Armed Forces personnel
Can claim ESM reservation benefits if they show, by an Annexure-III certificate from the Commanding Officer, that they will complete their term of engagement within one year of the closing date; they must acquire ESM status within that year, though if the selection process takes more than one year, release after that year does not make them ineligible under the ESM category

Photo and signature
Photographs not in accordance with the instructions and the acceptable specimen are liable to be rejected; a photo of a pre-existing photograph or a blurred or miniature signature leads to summary rejection (not for Aadhaar-authenticated forms)

If you opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication, do not lock your Aadhaar biometrics, as biometric verification is mandatory at different stages of the examination
Multiple applications
All applications are rejected; appearing more than once means cancellation and debarment
Name and date of birth
Name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name must match the Matriculation certificate, otherwise candidature may be cancelled; a DOB mismatch at the venue means you shall not be allowed to appear, and any variation in name or date of birth found later leads to cancellation
Photo ID at exam
Everyone must bring the Admission Certificate printout; non-Aadhaar candidates must report two hours before the exam, and must carry original photo ID with date of birth and two photographs, failing which they will not be allowed entry; if the ID has no date of birth, also carry an original date-of-birth document such as the Matriculation certificate
Exam centre
No request for change of centre will be considered later

If your details are not on the Regional Office website one week before the exam, contact that Regional Office immediately with proof of your application; failure to do so deprives you of any claim for consideration

Allotted post

Represent to the concerned SSC Regional Office within two months of the result or two weeks before the next stage, whichever is earlier

You may appeal to the appellate authority present at the PST/PET ground; its decision is final
Found unfit at medical
A Review Medical Examination follows the DME, preferably the next day; the Review Medical Board’s decision is final and no appeal or representation against it is entertained

Admission is provisional; if any eligibility condition or claim is not met at any stage, the candidature will be cancelled
Women at PST/PET
A self-declaration of pregnancy status must be submitted on reporting; a false declaration means the risk of PST/PET is your own, and re-examination after confinement needs a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
Malpractice
Unfair means lead to cancellation and debarment from 1 to 7 years
Marriage (Disqualifications)
A person who has entered into or contracted a marriage with someone having a living spouse, or who married again while having a living spouse, shall not be eligible for appointment, unless exempted by the Central Government
Communication and contact details
Communication not furnishing these particulars (Registration Number, Roll Number, registered email and mobile) shall not be entertained; requests to change mobile number or email shall not be entertained later
Re-evaluation
There is no re-checking of scores, and success in the exam confers no right of appointment
