    • For posts with age limit 18-30 years: Born not earlier than 02-08-1995 and not later than 01-08-2007.

Selected candidates will be appointed to posts with varying pay scales, ranging from Level 1 to Level 8 of the Pay Matrix, depending on the post category. The recruitment process for SSC Selection Posts Phase-XIII/2025 involves the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE):
    • There will be three separate CBEs for posts with minimum EQs of Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2), and Graduation & above levels.
    • The examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
    • Subjects include General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill for Matriculation, broader scope for others), and English Language (Basic Knowledge for Matriculation, broader scope for others).
    • Each subject will have 25 questions, carrying 50 marks each, totaling 100 questions and 200 marks.
    • The total duration is 60 minutes (80 minutes for candidates eligible for scribes).
    • There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
    • Marks scored in the CBE, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized.
    • The CBE will be conducted in Hindi and English only.
    • Indicative syllabi for Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation & above levels are provided in the notification (Para 15.8).
  2. Skill Tests (if applicable):
    • Skill Tests like Typing/Data Entry/Computer Proficiency Test, etc., where prescribed in the Essential Qualification, will be conducted[cite:4 291]. These will be of a qualifying nature unless specified otherwise.
  3. Scrutiny of Documents:
    • Candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on their scores in the CBE in a ratio depending on the number of vacancies (e.g., 1:30 for up to 5 vacancies, 1:15 for more than 5 vacancies, subject to a minimum of 150).
    • Shortlisted candidates will be required to upload self-attested copies of all supporting documents (EQ, Experience, Category, Age, etc.) on the SSC website.
  4. Document Verification (DV):
    • All qualified candidates found eligible at the Scrutiny Stage will be called for Document Verification by the User Department concerned.
    • Original documents will be verified at this stage.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in CBE (Normalized Scores):

  • Unreserved (UR): 30% 
  • OBC/EWS: 25% 
  • Other Categories: 20% 

Candidates scoring less than these cut-off marks will not be considered for the next stage.

How to Apply for SSC Selection Posts Phase-XIII 2025

Candidates must submit their applications online through the official SSC website or via the mySSC mobile application (downloadable from Google Play Store). The process involves two main parts: One-Time Registration (OTR) and filling the online application form.

Part A: One-Time Registration (OTR)

  1. Candidates who have not generated their OTR on the new SSC website must do so. Old OTRs from ssc.nic.in are not valid.
  2. Click on “Login or Register” on the SSC website.
  3. Provide basic details: Mobile Number, Email ID, Aadhaar Number (or alternative ID), Matriculation details, etc.
  4. Aadhaar Based Authentication: Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication during OTR. This offers benefits like non-rejection of applications based on photograph/signature standards and no need to carry physical photos/ID to the exam hall if authenticated. Candidates not opting for Aadhaar authentication need to upload specific documents for OTR.
  5. Create a password and provide additional details (Category, Nationality, Address, etc.).
  6. Complete the declaration and submit the OTR form after OTP verification.
  7. The OTR must be completed within 14 days of saving basic details, or the data will be deleted.

Part B: Filling the Online Application Form

  1. Login with your Registration Number and Password.
  2. Click the “Apply” link under “Phase-XIII/2025/Selection Posts Examination” in the “Live Examination” tab.
  3. Information from Sl. No. 1 to 18 will be auto-filled from your OTR (can be edited via “Edit Registration Details” on the dashboard if needed).
  4. Fill in details regarding Ex-Servicemen status (if applicable), Government Employee status (if applicable), preference for Examination Centers (up to three). Note: Preference of Examination Centre, once opted in the first application, will be frozen for all subsequent applications across regions.
  5. Provide details related to PwBD status and scribe requirements, if applicable.
  6. Select the Region and Post Code you are applying for. The Post Name and Level of Post will be auto-displayed.
  7. Confirm possession of Essential Qualification and Experience for the selected post.
  8. Indicate if seeking age relaxation and select the appropriate code.
  9. Live Photograph Capture: The application module is designed to capture a real-time photograph of the candidate.
    • Ensure good light and a plain background.
    • Camera should be at eye level; look straight ahead.
    • Face should be fully inside the delineated area, not too close or far.
    • Do not wear a cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles.
    • Do not capture a photograph of a pre-existing photograph; such applications will be rejected (unless Aadhaar authenticated).
  10. Upload Scanned Signature:
    • JPEG/JPG format, 10 to 20 KB.
    • Image dimension: approximately 6.0 cm (Width) x 2.0 cm (Height).
    • Blurred/miniature signatures will lead to rejection (unless Aadhaar authenticated).
  11. Preview the application carefully before final submission.
  12. Agree to the declaration and submit the application.
  13. Proceed to pay the application fee if not exempted.
  14. Take a printout of the successfully submitted application form for your records.
