Eligibility Criteria for BOB Office Assistant 2025
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as of May 1, 2025:
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed the 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Institute.
- Proficiency in the official language (reading, writing, and speaking) of the State/UT for which the candidate is applying is preferable. Final educational results must have been declared on or before 01.05.2025.
- Age Limit (as of 01.05.2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 26 years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01.05.1999 and not later than 01.05.2007 (both dates inclusive).
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual service period + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen of SC/ST), max 50 years
- Widows, divorced women, legally separated women (not remarried): Up to 35 years (General/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST).
- Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India or meet other specified criteria (subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, etc.) as per government rules.
- Credit History: Candidates must maintain a healthy credit history with a minimum CIBIL score of 650 or above at the time of joining (as per bank policy). This is not a pre-condition to apply.

BOB Office Assistant Selection Process 2025
The selection process involves the following stages:
- Online Test: An objective-type online examination will be conducted. The tentative structure is:
- Knowledge of English Language: 25 Questions, 25 Marks, 20 Mins
- General Awareness: 25 Questions, 25 Marks, 20 Mins
- Elementary Arithmetic: 25 Questions, 25 Marks, 20 Mins
- Psychometric Test (Reasoning): 25 Questions, 25 Marks, 20 Mins
- Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks, 80 Minutes
- There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Candidates must obtain minimum cut-off scores in each section and overall.
- Local Vernacular Language Test: Candidates qualifying the online test will undergo a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) for the local language of the state they applied for. This test is qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification: Candidates provisionally selected based on the online test merit (and LPT qualification) will be called for document verification.
- Medical Examination: Appointment is subject to being declared medically fit.
