Eligibility Criteria for CISF Paramedical Staff 2026

Educational Qualification

  • ASI (Pharmacist): 10+2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognised Board, and a Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institution, and registration as a “Pharmacist” under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
  • ASI (X-Ray Technician): 10+2 pass from a recognised Board, and a Diploma in Radiography / X-Ray Technology from an institution recognised by the Central or State Government.
  • ASI (Lab Technician): 10+2 pass from a recognised Board, and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an institution recognised by the Central or State Government.

Age Limit

  • The applicant must be between 18 and 28 years of age as on the closing date 07 July 2026.
  • Age relaxation: SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years) as per Government rules. Departmental and other eligible categories get relaxation as per the notification.

Physical Standard Requirements

  • Height: For General, EWS, SC and OBC candidates — Male 170 cm, Female 157 cm. Relaxed standards apply for ST candidates, hilly-area residents and North-East candidates as per the notification.
  • Chest (Male only): 80–85 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion).
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Written Examination (OMR / CBT)

PST, BVAT and Medical Examination

Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for the Physical Standard Test (PST) for height, chest and weight, followed by Documentation.
