Eligibility Criteria for JAG Entry 124 Course

Candidates must strictly adhere to the following eligibility conditions as per the official notification.

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their LLB Degree (either 3 years professional after graduation or 5 years after 10+2).
  • CLAT Score: CLAT PG 2025 Score is MANDATORY for all candidates (including LLM qualified/appearing).
  • Bar Council Registration: Candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.
  • College Recognition: The college/university must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Selection Process Explained

The selection procedure for the JAG Entry Scheme is rigorous and involves the following stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications

The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on the CLAT PG 2025 Score. Only shortlisted candidates will be allotted Selection Centers.

Stage 2: SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates will face a two-stage selection procedure at one of the Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar).

  • Stage I: Screening (OIR Test & PPDT). Candidates who fail here are sent back on the first day.
  • Stage II: Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, and Personal Interview. This lasts for 5 days.

Stage 3: Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a thorough medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.

Stage 4: Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared based only on the marks obtained in the SSB Interview, subject to the candidate being medically fit and meeting all eligibility criteria. Higher educational qualifications do not carry extra weightage.
