Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Apprentice 2026
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility norms as of 31st January 2026.
Educational Qualification
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter): Class 10th (Matric) with 2-year ITI in Fitter Trade.
- Trade Apprentice (Boiler): 3 Years B.Sc (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry).
- Technician Apprentice: 3 Years Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Trade Apprentice (Accountant): 3 Years B.Com with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Note: Higher professional qualifications like B.E./B.Tech/MBA/CA/MCA are not eligible. Candidates must have completed their course as a regular full-time student.
Age Limit (As on 31.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Stipend and Benefits
Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices for a period of 12 months (24 months for Code 103 – Boiler).
- Stipend: Monthly stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act and Corporation’s rules.
- Leave: 32 days of General Leave and 12 days of Casual Leave per year.
- Safety Gear: Safety shoes and helmet provided for technical trades (Code 102, 103, 105, 106, 107).
- Insurance: Apprentices are covered under Personal Accident Insurance.
- Note: No boarding or lodging is provided by the refinery.
Selection Process Explained
IOCL Mathura Refinery has adopted a merit-based selection procedure to ensure transparency.
- Merit List: Selection is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam (ITI/Diploma/Degree).
