RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Postponed at Ongole & Nellore Centres 2026 (CEN 01/2026)

The Railway Recruitment Boards have postponed the CBT-1 of CEN No. 01/2026 (ALP) at one Ongole centre (on 3 and 4 November 2026) and one Nellore centre (on 3 November 2026), in a notice dated 2 November 2026. The reason given is “exigency situations”. Only the candidates of these two centres are affected: CBT-1 at all other centres will be conducted as per schedule.

What to do: if your exam was at the Ongole centre (TC 33430) on 3 or 4 November, or at the Nellore centre (TC 35626) on 3 November, your new exam date is 5 November 2026. Those Ongole candidates move to a new centre in Tirupathi (TC 9105). RRB says SMS and email will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID of the candidates concerned, so check both. Everyone else keeps the original date.

Railway Recruitment Boards have issued a notice dated 23 October 2026 on the City Intimation Slip and Helpdesk Link for the Computer Based Test (CBT I) of CEN No 01/2026 (Assistant Loco Pilot). The notice says the link for viewing Exam City & Date and downloading the Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates is live on the official website of RRB. It prints no separate web address for the link, so open it on the official RRB website, or the website of the RRB you applied to. This is the exam city slip, not the e-call letter (admit card).

The CBT I is scheduled on 03.11.2026, 04.11.2026 and 05.11.2026. Two timings are marked tentative in the notice itself: candidates can view their exam city 10 days (Tentatively) before the exam date, and downloading of E-Call letters will start 4 days (Tentatively) prior to exam dates mentioned in the Exam City and Date intimation link. Your own intimation shows your exact date, so go by that.

Railway Recruitment Boards have issued a Revised Notice on Application Status for CEN 01/2026 (Assistant Loco Pilot, Level-2), dated 14 October 2026. It says the status notice of 25 August 2026 was followed by a second scrutiny of the applications, and the application status has been updated accordingly. The earlier status you saw may therefore have changed, so log in again.

Updated status is shown from 14 October 2026 at 23:59 hrs. Log in with your user credentials at the RRB application portal (link in the Essential Links section). Each application appears under one of three heads:

1. Provisionally accepted
2. Conditionally accepted
3. Rejected, along with the reasons for rejection

SMS and email about the status will go to the mobile number and email ID registered in your submitted application. Acceptance is purely provisional: candidature of every accepted candidate is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process, or thereafter, if any inconsistency, deficiency, falsified record or malpractice comes to RRB’s notice. RRB also reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical mistake in the list, and it cannot entertain correspondence from ineligible or rejected candidates.

The notice does not change the vacancy count, the exam schedule or any date, and it does not reopen applications. The tentative CBT-1 window of 3 to 5 November 2026 comes from the separate 21 September notice; no notice says whether it covers the 3,500 added posts, so rely on your own Exam City and Date intimation. Use only official RRB websites and ignore touts who promise selection for money. Download the RRB ALP Revised Application Status Notice PDF (14.10.2026)

The Railway Board has raised the Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies under CEN 01/2026. In letter No. E(MPP)2026/26/1 dated 29 September 2026, it says the competent authority had earlier approved 11,127 ALP vacancies in Pay Level 2 for 2026 and has now decided to enhance them by 3,500. That takes the total to 14,627 (11,127 + 3,500). The letter does not print 14,627 itself; it is the sum of its two figures. The 3,500 additional indents are split across seven zonal railways:

These are zonal railway indents, not RRB-wise figures. Zones must place them on the OIRMS portal, not exceeding the enhancement the Railway Board approved, and must ensure that prescribed reservation norms are strictly followed. The revised RRB-wise and category-wise vacancy split has not been released yet. The letter fixes this indent timeline:

The letter announces no new application window; online applications for CEN 01/2026 closed on 14 June 2026 (23:59 hrs). It also says nothing about the exam, so the tentative CBT-1 schedule of 3 to 5 November 2026 from the 21 September notice still stands. Watch the official RRB websites for the revised RRB-wise vacancy table. Download Railway Board ALP Vacancy Enhancement Letter (29.09.2026)

Railway Recruitment Boards have released the tentative CBT-1 exam schedule for CEN 01/2026 (Assistant Loco Pilot) in a notice dated 21 September 2026. The Computer Based Test (CBT-1) is scheduled from 3 November 2026 to 5 November 2026, and RRB has marked this schedule tentative. The link for your Exam City & Date, and the Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates, goes live 10 days prior to the exam date on the official websites of all RRBs. E-Call letters open 4 days prior to the exam date shown in that Exam City and Date intimation link. Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done at the exam centre before you enter the hall. An earlier Important Notice dated 25 August 2026 confirmed that the scrutiny of CEN 01/2026 applications is complete. Log in with your own credentials at the RRB application portal to see your application marked Provisionally accepted, Conditionally accepted or Rejected, with the reason. Every accepted candidature stays purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process, or thereafter, if any inconsistency, deficiency, falsified record or malpractice comes to RRB’s notice, and RRB cannot entertain correspondence from ineligible or rejected candidates.
