What is the Selection Process for Manipur Police Recruitment 2026?

Selection depends on the post. Most uniformed posts begin with a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), then a written test and a viva-voce. For preparing the paper, see the syllabus and exam pattern page.

The PET for SI and ASI (Male) covers five events worth 4 marks each: 100 m race, broad jump, high jump, 800 m race and push-ups. The minimums are 100 m in 15 seconds, broad jump 3.80 m, high jump 1.20 m and 800 m in 3 minutes. Constable and Riflemen candidates must qualify in all four events (100 m, broad jump, high jump, 800 m) at 10 marks each, and being disqualified in any one event automatically removes you from the written test and viva-voce. For women’s Constable PET the minimums are 100 m in 17.50 seconds, broad jump 3.05 m, shot put 4.50 m and 200 m in 38 seconds. For the SI (Telecom) women’s race, the notice prints the distance and timing inconsistently, so read the PDF closely. For SI (Telecom) and SI (Fitter), failing more than one PET event means you are not considered for the written test. For ASI (Female), failing two or more events, or scoring under 15 marks, has the same result. For Head Constable (Fitter), Constable (Fitter) and Follower, missing any PET minimum means immediate disqualification and loss of candidature.
