The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Western Railway, Jaipur has released Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) for engaging 2008 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2026-27. Training will happen at eight NWR divisions and workshops in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur. The biggest trades are Electrician, Fitter and Electronics Mechanic, with seats also for Diesel Mechanic, Welder, COPA, Carpenter and more. How Many Seats Are in RRC NWR Apprentice Vacancy 2026? Unit-wise and Trade-wise Slots
You can choose only one unit. The category split is different for every trade and every unit, so check the exact row for your ITI trade in the unit you want. Many small trades have seats only for UR and OBC, a few only for UR, and two Bikaner TMC trades have no seat at all this year. If you pick a unit that has no slot for your trade, your form becomes useless, and you cannot change it after final submission.
A simple tip before you choose: merit is prepared separately for each unit, trade and community. So look at the slots for your own trade and category in each unit, and also think about where you can actually stay for the full training, because no hostel is given. Ajmer, Bikaner and Jaipur DRM offices carry the largest share of seats, while the workshops have fewer trades.

Please understand one thing clearly. This is training, not a permanent job. As per the Apprenticeship Rules 1992 notified by the Ministry of Labour, it shall not be obligatory on the part of the employer to offer you employment after training, and it is not obligatory on your part to accept one. Before training starts you, or your guardian if you are a minor, must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship.

Which Mistakes Can Cancel Your RRC NWR Apprentice 2026 Application?

Your name, father’s name and date of birth must exactly match your Matriculation or equivalent certificate; any deviation leads to cancellation and debarment

Do not wait for the last day. RRC clearly says it is not responsible if you cannot submit because the website slows down in the final days, so apply well before 6 November. No physical copy needs to be sent to RRC. Keep the printout of your online form, two extra copies of the same photo and your Aadhaar card ready for document verification. Reserved category candidates must also carry the certificate in the prescribed annexure format, or the reservation benefit is lost.
