Officer ‘B’ is a deputation post for a period normally not exceeding three years from the date of joining. You can apply only if you work in Central or State Governments, universities, recognised research institutions, or semi-government, statutory or autonomous organisations. You must also hold an analogous post, or have 5 years’ service in Level 8 or Level 7 of the pay matrix, or 8 years’ service in Level 6 or equivalent, and have the required education and relevant experience.
