ARIAS Society Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be citizens of India as defined under the Constitution of India and meet the specified educational qualifications, experience, and age requirements. The detailed Terms of References (ToRs) for each position are available on the ARIAS Society website.
1. Accountant (5 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Commerce from any Government recognized University.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting/financial management procedures applicable for ADB/World Bank/externally funded projects.
- Hands-on experience operating Tally accounting software.
- Experience & Desired Skills:
- Overall, four (4) years of working experience in project/program financial accounting.
2. Environmental Safeguards Coordinator (5 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- Master’s degree/Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years full-time residential program) in Ecology & Environment / Environmental Science.
- OR Master’s degree in Fisheries (with specialization in Aquatic Environment Management) or a related subject.
- A combination of several specializations and/or additional training on similar environmental related subjects would be an asset.
- Experience & Desired Skills:
- Minimum 05 years of professional experience in the field of Environment Management and related activities in a managerial position.
- Experience in Externally Aided Projects/Central Government Sponsored Projects, etc., is preferred.
- Computer Proficiency: Proven experience using Internet-based applications, advanced word processing/spreadsheet software including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, and other related applications. Skills in geographic information systems (GIS) are a plus.
- Language: Fluency in English. Knowledge of local language will be preferred.
3. Social Safeguards & Gender Coordinator (SS&GC) (5 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work/ Sociology/ Development Studies / Anthropology or related fields from a recognized University/Institute.
- Experience & Desired Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Social Development Sector. This includes implementing social safeguards, gender mainstreaming, gender equality, diversity, and social inclusion with government offices and contractors for ADB/World Bank or other externally financed projects in rural and remote areas.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in the use of the Internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. The SS&GC will assist in the day-to-day preparation of all such data for the Cluster Project Coordinator.
- Language: Fluency in English. Knowledge of local language will be preferred.
- Other Desirable Qualifications, Experience, Skills etc.:
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder, fast-moving environments and the ability to work under pressure, respecting strict deadlines and multitasking.
- An understanding of community dynamics.
- Knowledge of local Assamese and/or Bengali languages.
- Good social, analytical, inter-personal, and planning skills.
- Self-motivated and possessing the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
4. GIS and MIS Executive (5 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Sciences, IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- OR Commerce or MBA (Finance) from any Govt. recognized University.
- Experience & Desired Skills:
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience in GIS and MIS systems, preferably in Externally Aided project/ Central Government Sponsored Project, etc.
- Proven experience with spatial software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), database management (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server), and MIS platforms.
- Experience in the fisheries, wetlands, or natural resource management sector is desirable.
- Language: Fluency in English. Candidates having proficiency in the local language will have an advantage.
5. Junior Engineer (Civil) (5 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- At least a Diploma (3 years course) in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering and Planning / Construction Technology from any technical institute recognized by AICTE. The Diploma course must be a regular course.
- Diploma courses obtained through distant/online mode of education shall not be considered.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/ Civil Engineering and Planning / Construction Technology will also be considered.
- Experience & Desired Skills:
- Minimum five (5) years of working experience in Planning/ Execution/ Maintenance of Civil Engineering works is essential.
- Candidates having experience in a similar capacity and sound working knowledge in externally aided projects/programs financed by Asian Development Bank (ADB)/ World Bank (WB) / Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), etc., shall be preferred.
- Computer Proficiency: Proven experience using Internet-based applications, advanced word processing/spreadsheet software including MS Word, MS Excel, etc., in addition to expertise in Computer Aided Engineering design/CAD, comprehensive structural finite element analysis and design applications, and other related applications.

Selection Process for ARIAS Society Vacancies
The selection process for these contractual positions will be rigorous and merit-based, involving the following stages:
- Shortlisting of Candidates: Based on the applications received, candidates will be shortlisted as per the eligibility criteria and requirements of the project.
- Written Test and/or Personal Interview:
- The ARIAS Society may hold a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview, or only a Personal Interview, depending on the number of candidates shortlisted for a particular position.
- Both the Written Test (if conducted) and the Personal Interview will be held at the ARIAS Society, Khanapara, Guwahati (Assam).
- Document Verification: Candidates called for the interview must present all original certificates/documents along with one set of self-attested copies for verification. The original documents will be returned after verification.
