BHEL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2025

Before applying, please make sure you meet all the eligibility conditions.

Educational Qualification

  • Trade Apprentice: Candidates must have passed High School (10th) and ITI in the respective trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute as a regular, full-time student. For the Welder trade, only an NCVT certificate is required.
  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: A full-time Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline from a government-recognized institute. Candidates must have passed their diploma in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025. A minimum of 60% marks is required for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates, and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Graduate Apprentice: A full-time B.E./B.Tech in the relevant Engineering field or a B.Com/B.A degree for Accountancy/Assistant-HR posts from a recognized university. Candidates must have passed their degree in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025. A minimum of 60% marks is required for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates, and 50% for SC/ST candidates.

Important Note: Candidates who have completed their education through distance learning, part-time, or correspondence courses are not eligible.

BHEL Apprentice Salary and Stipend Details

Selection Process for BHEL Apprenticeship 2025

The selection process for the BHEL Apprenticeship is straightforward and based entirely on merit. There is no written exam or interview.

Your selection will be based on the marks you have secured in your qualifying examination (ITI, Diploma, or Degree). BHEL will prepare a merit list based on these marks. If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference. Selected candidates will then be called for document verification.
