Eligibility Criteria for BHEL Apprentice
Candidates must meet the specific educational and age requirements as detailed below.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech in the relevant branch from a recognized Institute/University. Candidates must have passed in May 2023 or later.
- Min. Marks: 65% for Gen/EWS/OBC and 60% for SC/ST.
- Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch from a recognized Institute/University. Candidates must have passed in May 2023 or later.
- Min. Marks: 65% for Gen/EWS/OBC and 60% for SC/ST.
- Note: Candidates who have more than 1 year of work experience or have already done apprenticeship are NOT eligible.

Salary and Benefits

Selection Process Explained
The selection process is merit-based, giving weightage to both academic and matriculation marks.
- Merit Calculation:
- 70% Weightage: Marks obtained in B.E./B.Tech or Diploma.
- 30% Weightage: Marks obtained in High School (10th).
- Tie-Breaking: If weighted average marks are equal, preference is given to higher marks in Degree/Diploma. If still tied, the older candidate is preferred.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
- Preference: Priority will be given to candidates who are domicile holders of Uttarakhand.
