SSC GD Result 2026 Out – 1,97,408 Shortlisted for PET/PST

Latest Update (12 October 2026) — SSC GD Result 2026 Out: Good news, friends! The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Computer Based Examination (CBE) result of the Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2026 as a shortlist for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST). The CBE was held from 27 April to 30 May 2026 and 21,56,776 candidates appeared. In all, 1,97,408 candidates are provisionally shortlisted: 15,782 female and 1,81,251 male candidates against State/UT-wise vacancies of the Forces, plus 375 male candidates against All-India vacancies of SSF. List-I (female) and List-II (male, other than SSF) are on ssc.gov.in. Note that this is a provisional shortlist for the next stage, not a final selection.

Minimum qualifying marks (applied without adding NCC bonus marks):

NCC bonus marks (granted provisionally to candidates who claimed an NCC Certificate in the online form):

Bonus marks were not awarded to Ex-Servicemen (ESM). CBE marks were normalized using the procedure in SSC’s notice dated 02.06.2025, and the normalized scores plus NCC bonus marks decided the cut-offs.

Candidates shortlisted against State/UT-wise vacancies (Forces other than SSF):

*UR includes candidates shortlisted at UR standard: for female, 789 EWS, 693 SC, 685 ST and 3,086 OBC; for male, 9,474 EWS, 8,434 SC, 6,100 ST and 36,548 OBC.

Male candidates shortlisted against All-India SSF vacancies (375 in total):

*UR includes 38 EWS, 6 SC, 1 ST and 75 OBC candidates shortlisted at UR standard.

State/UT-wise, area-wise (General, Border, Naxal/Militancy affected district) cut-off marks and the date of birth of the last shortlisted candidate for the other Forces are given in Annexure-I (female) and Annexure-II (male) of the result write-up PDF. Open it and look up your State/UT, category and area.

Important points from the result notice:

• Area-wise order: Naxal/militancy-affected-area candidates were first considered against those area vacancies, then general-area ones; border-area candidates likewise. A candidate from both areas was considered for naxal/militancy, then border, then general vacancies.
• Tie-break order: Part-A marks (General Intelligence and Reasoning), then Part-B (General Knowledge and General Awareness), then Part-C (Elementary Mathematics), then Date of Birth (older candidate higher), then alphabetical order of names.
• Category changed to UR: the result of 13,231 SC/ST/OBC candidates who migrated between States/UTs and did not opt for reservation from their State/UT of origin was processed under UR; 246 of them are shortlisted and included in List-I or List-II.
• Withheld and debarred: the result of 60 candidates (List-III) is withheld for various reasons, 3 candidates are withheld due to court cases, and the 88 candidates debarred by the Commission (List-IV) were not processed.
• Vacancies with no candidates: where vacancies exist but no candidates are available (no cut-off in Annexure-I/II), they may be filled at later stages, because reserved-category candidates may qualify at the UR cut-off in the CBE. For such vacancies, and where fewer candidates than required were shortlisted, the minimum qualifying marks of the category were taken as the cut-off for PET/PST.
• Answer keys: after examining the representations, the answer keys were modified wherever necessary and the Final Answer Keys were used to evaluate the response sheets. The Final Answer Keys, question papers cum response sheets and marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates will be made available on ssc.gov.in in due course (login with Registered ID and Password).

What to do next: PET/PST will be conducted by the CAPFs in due course, and call letters will be issued by the Nodal CAPF (CRPF). The notice gives no PET/PST dates yet, so keep checking the CRPF recruitment website and the SSC website regularly.

Latest Update (15 June 2026) — SSC GD 2026 Answer Key Out: Good news, friends! The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has uploaded the Tentative Answer Keys along with your Response Sheets for the SSC Constable (GD) in CAPFs & SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2026. The Computer Based Exam was held from 27 April to 30 May 2026, and candidates could log in with their Registration Number and Password to check their responses and the answers. The objection (challenge) window ran online from 15 June 2026 (06:00 PM) to 20 June 2026 (06:00 PM) on payment of ₹50 per question challenged, and it has now closed. As per that notice, the tentative answer key and response sheet were not available after 06:00 PM on 20 June 2026; the final answer keys are covered in the SSC GD Result 2026 update on this page.

Latest Update (27 April 2026) — Important Notice for 28, 29 & 30 April candidates: The Staff Selection Commission has noticed that on some e-Admission Certificates (Admit Cards) downloaded by candidates of SSC Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF, Rifleman (GD) Assam Rifles and Sepoy NCB Examination 2026 scheduled on 28, 29 and 30 April 2026, the barcode in the lower part is not visible. Please open your e-Admit Card carefully and confirm that both barcodes (the one on the upper part and the one on the lower part) are clearly printed and visible. If either barcode is missing or unclear, you must re-download the e-Admission Certificate immediately from ssc.gov.in. Carry only the corrected admit card with both barcodes visible, along with the other prescribed documents, to the examination centre.
